What Makes a Good Pull Up Banner?

Three things: artwork quality, print quality and hardware quality.

Artwork quality means your design is set up at the correct resolution (150 DPI at full print size is generally sufficient for large format), with CMYK colours and bleed. Poor artwork is the most common reason banners look soft or off-colour when they arrive.

• Set up your artwork at 850mm x 2000mm (or your chosen size) at 150 DPI in CMYK
• Include 10mm bleed on all sides
• Keep all critical content (logos, headlines, contact details) at least 50mm from the bottom edge — this section may be partially obscured by the base unit
• Use a high-contrast colour for your headline text — it needs to be readable from 3 to 5 metres away
• Limit the amount of text — banner viewers scan, they do not read. One headline, one key message, one call to action
• Include your logo, website and phone number prominently
